Forum Nokia released the S60 Platform SDK for Symbian OS, for C++ and Java MIDP.

S60 Platform SDK for Symbian OS, for Java MIDP allows Java developers to quickly and efficiently run and test Java applications for devices that are compatible with the S60 Platform. Using a Java language integrated development environment (IDE), development with the SDK is hosted on a PC. The SDK delivers all the tools required to build Java applications.

C++
The S60 SDK for Symbian OS enables application development for devices
based on S60 platform using C++ - the latest S60 SDK for C++ supports
S60 3rd Edition Platform Feature Pack 2. The SDK includes all key
functionalities needed for application development (documentation, API
reference, emulator) excluding IDE. Carbide.c++ is the recommended IDE
to be used with S60 SDKs for C++.
