The guys from IMGA had just announced about the release of thier 3rd mini-magazine. You can check it out here.

They would also like to remind you that submissions to the IMGA awards contest is due by September 22nd, so hurry up if you want to make it to the deadline.

Just to get you going, here are the (probable) categories and prizes:

  • The International Mobile Gaming Grand Prix (US$15,000)
  • The International Mobile Gaming Excellence in 3D Award (US$5,000)
  • The International Mobile Gaming Excellence in Connectivity Award (US$5,000)
  • The International Mobile Gaming Excellence in Game Play Award (US$5,000)
  • The International Mobile Gaming Best Real World Game (US$5,0000)
  • The International Mobile Gaming Best Casual Game Award (developed in Flash, Java, etc.) (US$5,000)

The nominees will be announced in October 2008. The winners will be announced on 16th of February 2009.

Harry Li published a post on his Forum Nokia blog which discusses a testing trick on Symbian and Mozilla, and he also gives a code sample and a config file sample to show his method.

“Probably all Unix gurus like the powerful shell script, and it is commonly used for testing purpose. In NSS the test cases are all called by several complex shell scripts, and there is a very flexibility to extend usage of these tests caller scripts. Unluckily we don’t have a shell script executing environment on Symbian OS. But I was borrowing ideas of this testing method, by writing a console application and treat it as the main body to coordinate all test cases.”
